Ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of drugs is a fundamental responsibility of every regulatory authority. In Nepal, this responsibility is governed through the Drugs Act, 2035 (1978), under which the Drug Investigation and Inspection Rules, 2040 were introduced. These rules empower designated authorities to carry out inspections and investigations to uphold pharmaceutical standards in the country.
