Duration of Contract: The total duration of the contract is for 156 days within a period of 6 months.
Deliverables For This Assignment
Tasks/Milestone Deliverables/Outputs Timeline Proposed Fee ( In Nepalese Currency) Monitor (desk review) and map the progress of completed tasks vs planned activities of the cIP. Submission of cIP’s updated table with progress status (initial version) By end Nov 2023 Validate the progress of cIP implementation at central and field level by physical field visits. Submission of validated cIP’s progress status (final version) By end Feb 2024 Coordinate findings with relevant government departments and partners at central and sub-national/field levels. Submission of minutes of meetings, visits, photos of cIP validation visits from the field By end March 2024 Provide regular updates of the progress to UNICEF. Submission of record of F2F or virtual discussions with UNICEF staff By 20th April 2024 Submit to UNICEF detailed report along with practical recommendations on cIP. Submission of final report of cIP progress status available By end April 2024
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree) in Health science, Public Health, pharmaceuticals, Public Administration.
- At least five years of working experience in the field of immunization.
- Knowledge of Effective Vaccine Management (much preferred) or medical supply chain.
- Good knowledge of English language (writing and speaking), and Nepalese language is MUST.
- National of Nepal with national ID or passport.
- Qualified females are strongly encouraged to apply.

Individuals engaged under a consultancy or individual contract will not be considered “staff members” under the Staff Regulations and Rules of the United Nations and UNICEF’s policies and procedures, and will not be entitled to benefits provided therein (such as leave entitlements and medical insurance coverage). Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
Scope Of Work
The individual consultant shall engage in a thorough familiarization of the nature and scope of the assigned tasks. This will be followed by but not limited to: development of a plan for the effective execution of the given tasks, monitoring of reported activities through physical visits to majority of the designated sites (vaccine storage facilities and vaccination service delivery points) targeted by the cIP, present the findings to partners (MoHP, UNICEF and WHO) for obtaining their feedback and subsequent refinement of the final report. Final report will need to cover in-depth analysis of the progress achieved vs each planned activity along with recommendations for guiding future follow-up efforts.
