Introduction
Association of Pharmaceutical Producers of Nepal (APPON) was established in 1990 AD, established by a group of Pharmaceutical entrepreneurs with the view to facilitate, enhance and improve the service of the Pharmaceutical companies to co-ordinate with different government bodies, medical fraternity and pharmaceutical business houses. Today, it has 50 Pharmaceutical companies as its members, who govern the 45% of Nepalese Pharmaceutical market share, out of which approximately 50% of which are certified with WHO-GMP and others are in process of it.
APPON from the day of its establishment is driving towards the destination to produce safe, efficacious and economical products with high quality to serve the health sector of Nepal.
What APPON Do
Organizing Nepal Pharma Expo since 2005, APPON has also been organizing the ultimate Pharmaceutical Exhibition “Nepal Pharma Expo” since the year 2005. With the gap of two years, it has successfully showcased the Pharma Expo in 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014 & 2016. APPON is also going to organize Pharma Expo in March 2019 and will continue the activity in future with an objective of improvement in each attempt.

- Enhance friendship and mutual understanding among the members.
- Create an environment of mutual help and understanding among the government and pharmaceutical industry.
- Draft policies for the pharmaceutical production and marketing by analyzing the export-import of pharmaceutical production.
- Collaborate with the government in the formulation of pharmaceutical product act, rules and regulation.
- Organize pharmaceutical production, marketing and general health related seminar / training / workshop.
- Publish newsletters, bulletin and books related to pharmaceutical industries.
- Resolve the dispute among the member industries through mediation and negotiation.
- Create a healthy and congenial environment through education and training for Marketing, Industrialization and Technical aspects in co-operation with foreign pharmaceutical and related organizations.
- Help expansion of zonal level branch office as deemed necessary .
