Pharmacy Assistant License Exam: Nepal Pharmacy Council
To become a registered Pharmacy Assistant in Nepal, candidates must pass the licensure examination conducted by the Nepal Pharmacy Council.
Under the Nepal Pharmacy Council Act of 2057 (2000 A.D.), a “pharmacy assistant” is defined as an individual who has obtained at least a certificate degree in pharmacy or an equivalent qualification from a recognized educational institution. A “registered pharmacist assistant” is a pharmacy assistant whose name appears in the register of the Nepal Pharmacy Council.
This crucial examination is open to students who have completed a Diploma in Pharmacy from the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Passing the pharmacy licensing exam is mandatory for those who wish to work in pharmacies or drug stores, ensuring that all Assistant Pharmacists in Nepal meet the required standards of competence and knowledge.
Eligibility
Academic Qualification
- The applicant must have a Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy or an equivalent degree from an institution recognized by the Nepal Pharmacy Council.
- Applicants must submit the application in the prescribed format, including the degree, certificate, other required documents, and the prescribed fees.

- SLC (School Leaving Certificate) or SEE Transcript
- Citizenship Certificate
- All Certificates for Proficiency Certificate (PCL) Level
- Registration Fee
- Equivalency Certificate (for degrees from Foreign Boards)
- All document should notarized

Syllabus
The Pharmacy Assistant licensing examination consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), for pass should obitan 50 marks, These questions are divided among various subject areas as follows:
