Bachelor in Pharmacy program is aimed to develop competent pharmacists required for fulfilling country’s demand in hospitals, pharmaceutical industries, retail pharmacy and other health care sectors so that they can show leadership in community, hospitals, promote national drug policies and improve the quality of health services.
The course provides knowledge and skills that enable on safe and rational use, quality and economy production, quality control and quality assurance of the drug and research and development of new drugs.

- To produce internationally competent pharmaceutical workforce for the development of pharmacy as a profession for fulfilling the health need of the people.
- To ensure better pharmacy practice in the hospital, pharmaceutical industries as well as in the community settings.
- To provide technically competent professionals for the promotion of rational use of drugs
- To provide sound academic knowledge and skill to the students, that can assist in the strengthening of the profession.
- To produce quality health professionals in order to provide quality health service to the general public.
- To develop the leadership quality in the students for better health promotion and health programming
Requirement for Admission and selection Criteria:
You have to pass the entrance exam of Medical Education Commission(MEC)
A. Eligibility
a. Passed 10+2 Science (Biology Group) or Equivalent securing at least 50% separately in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with 50% aggregate in total marks OR Secured at least C+ grade separately in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least C grade in remaining individual subjects along with GPA 2.4 OR Secured the percentage equivalent to above eligibility in regards to the certificate level programs (A-Level) with different grading system
OR
b. Applicants who have passed the Health Science Proficiency Certificate Level in respective PCL program (General Medicine, Medical Lab Technology, Ophthalmic Science, Dental Science, Pharmacy) with at least 50% aggregate in total marks
c. Registered in Nepal Health Professional Council or Nepal Pharmacy Council or Nepal Ayurveda Council as per related educational program
B. Examination Format
a. Question type: Single best response type of multiple-choice questions
b. Option: Four options (A, B, C, D)
c. Number of questions: 200
d. Full marks: 200
e. Cognitive ratio: Recall: Understanding: Application – 30:50:20
f. Duration: 3 hours
Enrolment Capacity and Duration:
